Hello,
I currently live in New Zealand with my family. I have been living here for almost 5 years and before that I was living in the United States. I am very interested in joining the US Navy as a pilot but do not know how possible it is because I am currently out of country. I am not a US citizen at the moment either. Thank you, ~Meg |

Not possible to join until you have at least a U.S. Resident Card ("Green Card"). Good Luck.

I used to have a Green Card, it's obviosly expired now because I've been out of the country for so long. But do you think that will make it easier or harder to get another one or citizenship which I would like to get.
Thanks ~Meg |

Previously holding a resident card does make it easier to get a new one. I don't know the process, but have heard/seen people with multiple expired green cards (hopping back and forth from jobs based in US and then to foreign jobs) continually get another green card.

Ok cool. And how hard do think it will be getting into the Navy as a pilot from overseas? Sorry about all the questions, just really want to do this.
I am quite good at school attaining top grades last year and am in the best classes this year and attaining similer grades. But I've been thinking, do you think it would be a good idea to attain a pilots liscence here, or go to college here to help get in? Thank you ~Meg |
