I'm a prior active duty MA and I'm thinking about going back as a drilling reservist. I've already been recruited once, so I know that recruiters are not the most straightforward guys. I'm just curious if MA reservists have been seeing a lot of mobilization. The recruiter has told me, "No way, it would cost the Navy too much money", but when I got out they were looking hard for MAs to fill billets in the riverine force in Iraq. I just spent over 4 years overseas and I would like to start settling down and not make the Navy a full time career again. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
