OK if youve read some of my other posts, I would like to be Navy SEAL after 6 years in the USMC reserves.
So lets say I graduate college like I plan to, and become an officer like I plan. How easy would it be able to get into BUD/S as an officer? Considering I am an "excellent" candiate.(great physical shape, prior service) Also, would it help if I talk to the recruiter early?(like 2 years before I plan on enlisting) Because I've heard I might have to wait around before I can go to BUD/S. I dont want to be in the fleet for 4 years before I get my chance. Thanks for any help |

Don't know about now, but back when I went to boot, you could take the swim test for BUD/S at boot. I had a friend I went to aircrew school and A school with go on to BUD/S after A school. You should talk to a recruiter about it, I know now the Navy is getting rid of people left and right. Also, talk to an officer recruiter, they will let you know the odds of getting into BUD/S as an O.

Yes they still do that from what I hear, but I wouldnt be going to boot camp. Are the SEAL "motivators" about the same as recruiters?
