Guess the kids in Iraq and Afghanistan will be home by Easter?
The economy will bounce back 'cause everyone will be reassured that a kinder, gentler America is on the way? Socialized medicine will flood the land for them what hasn't insurance? taxes will go down? chicken in every pot? No more offshore job losses? and its okay to have a secret Commie Muslim as President? Well good for you !! can't say I wasn't a little nervous about the Palinator but I feel right sad/bad for ol' J. McCain...guy was upstanding and as fine a man as you could get.. thought he had a real chance at turning the Republican Party around... oh, well.. PALIN IN 2012!!! will she be running against Obama term 2 or Hillary??? There I was , at the head of the old 68th... |

He's not a " Black Guy " you crazed Canadian. He is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! Voted in by more white people than black people too. So much for RACISM ( lol ). Even West Virginia went his way so so much for the evil fictional white KKK freaks.

I have a bad feeling about all this. Millions of aliens from all parts of the world will now flood America while our anglo-saxon heritage dies and our enemies throughout the world rejoice. Those are bad prospects for me. Is that racism?

mastertanker:
Obama and the Dems aren't about to change the immigration laws to an open door policy and as for the 'Anglo-Saxon' heritage... it was gone long ago... More Hispanics than Blacks who outnumber the ' Whites '... Not that it makes any difference... the whole world will be ' Beige' before too long.. There I was , at the head of the old 68th... |

I'm reserving judgement to see how he does during crisis situations. Won't surprise me too much when he reacts just like President Bush did, all pre-election rhetoric aside. I have a very high regard for the Office of President, respect is earned though. President Bush had both from me.

If you watched Larry King tonight you'll get to see fat Michael Moore Blubber and Jesse Jackass go on and on and on about how a miracle happened last night. A 2 year 2.5 BILLION dollar media invested favorite kind of miracle. Right Oprah?

Obama campaign workers angry over unpaid wages
Posted: Nov 5, 2008 03:38 PM Political paychecks Indianapolis - Lines were long and tempers flared Wednesday not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama. Several hundred people are still waiting to get their pay for last-minute campaigning. Police were called to the Obama campaign office on North Meridian Street downtown to control the crowd. The line was long and the crowd was angry at times. "I want my money today! It's my money. I want it right now!" yelled one former campaign worker. A former spokesman for the Obama campaign said 375 people were hired as part of the Vote Corps program and said people signed up to work three-hour shifts at a time. Three hours of canvassing got workers a $30 pre-paid Visa card. The workers showed up to get their cards Wednesday morning at 10:00 am. "There was a note on the door saying 1:00 pm and then at 1:20 pm everybody was like why is nobody here. They just got here and they're trying to get it organized," said Heather Richards, a former campaign worker. The large gathering of around 375 people prompted police to call in extra officers and set up temporary barricades. The barricades helped keep the crowd from spilling out onto Meridian Street. Police say the several hundred people in line were for the most part orderly. "No arrests. Some of the people were upset at first because the line wasn't moving as fast as they thought it should. But we really haven't had any problems," said Major Darryl Pierce, Metro Police. Eventually people did start getting paid, but some said they were missing hours and told to fill in paperwork making their claim and that eventually they would get a check in the mail. "Still that's not right. I'm disappointed. I'm glad for the president, but I'm disappointed in this system," said Diane Jefferson, temporary campaign worker. "It should have been $480. It's $230," said Imani Sankofa. "They gave us $10 an hour. So we added it. I added up all the hours so it was supposed to be at least $120. All I get is $90," said Charles Martin. "I worked nine hours a day for 4 days and got paid half of what I should have earned," said Randall Waldon. Some people weren't satisfied with filling out a claim form for money they felt was still due to them. "They say that they gonna call you or they going to mail it to you, but I don't know. We'll see what happens," said Antron Grose. "Talking about they'll mail it to us. I ain't worried about that, man. They're not going to mail nothin'," said Martin. So it has already started? His own workers are getting screwed ROFLMFAO Count it the greatest sin to prefer life to honor, and for the sake of living to lose what makes it worth living. -junival c.50-c.130 |

Barack Obama is an instrument of change:
imagine, if you will, a candidate who voted to renew the Patriot Act. who voted to fund the Iraq war backed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Reform Act ' courted' the Israeli lobby refused to champion universal, single-payer not-for-profit health care called to increase troop levels and expand the war in Afhganistan, did not lobby for defence spending reductions, lobbied and voted for the Wall Street bailout Sabre-rattled at Iran promised to roll back Russian aggression promised to extend treaty protection to the regime in Georgia [ the Russkie neighbour, that is ] advocated for military strikes in Pakistan against the Taliban/Al Quaeda opposed same-sex marriage and supported and favoured extending the death penalty that candidate? Democrat Barack Obama... what do the Frenchies say? plus ca change.... not that I'm pro or con any of these things.. just pointing out some things, is all... TEHRAN, Iran - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday congratulated Barack Obama on his election win.
And so it begins. Obama has said he is willing to hold direct diplomacy with Iranian leaders as a way to break the impasse between the two countries or give the U.S. more credibility to press for tougher sanctions if talks fail. What do you folks think? Myself, I can already see the meeting being setup to occur within the first few months in office. SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. Can you astute analysts of the American political scene clarify something for me, please?
Prez-elect Obama made two core promises during his parade to victory. If he won he'd 1] break up Washington's old boy club and 2] raise taxes on the rich to pay for tax cuts to the less rich so.. yesterday he 'unveiled' his economic team that consists of hands so inside Washington's pockets they could get jobs as tour guides [ Tim Geithner, Eric Holder, not to mention Hillary -I know special case to calm the waters ] shades of 1999 and now ' hints' that he's going to let the tax thing slide until it runs its course in 2011 When asked by a reporter about the ' relief' for the affluent, he was - let's call it ' opaque ' " whether that's done through repeal or whether that's done because the Bush tax cuts are not renewed is something that my economic team will be providing me with a recommendation on.." so, same old same old, deja vu? or am I missing something in the cold north country? Note also that Obama has lumped Cuba in with Iran and Syria as ' rogue regimes '??? Last I looked Cuba wasn't doing much to bother anyone and actually was being a bit of a class act in trying to fit in. Cuba is the elected leader of the 118 non-aligned movement at the UN, elected to the Human Rights Council with the support of 135 nations [ more than Canada got ] 185 nations condemned the US policy toward Cuba and Cuba has sent 40,000!! medical staff to 73 different countries to help out in crises, more than the whole G8 put together... I mean, if Britain, France, Germany and a large swath of other ' allies' are voting for and supporting Cuba.. they aren't really seeing the island in the same light as Iran/Syria and other so-called ' failed states '.. Obama going to visit Fidel in hospital soon.. he said he was open to discussions and ' talking ' to these guys? at the very least it would win him support in Florida and might get Americans in on the cheap holiday packages we Canucks enjoy.. just askin' over to you guys to fill me in or fillet me.. and Typhoon, don't bother blasting me with a Youtube ref/link.. my flash player and sound card are kaput.. There I was , at the head of the old 68th... |
