New Mexico Democratic Governor Bill Richardson has declared a state of emergency in four counties along the border with Mexico. Some see this as a precursor to a White House run in 2008. Whatever it is, am glad SOMEONE is actually doing something about illegal immigration!

I have been watching this and he has done what the goverment will not do and I think it was the right move. He has my vote!!!

He is pretty fair I live in New Mexico if he will follow through. New Mexico or around here the Local Goverment is pretty corupt and they are having a lot of problems on NM & Texas borders.In all major Cities they have Latin Gang problems and a lot of them illegal Aliens.The most of our drug problens here are conducted by Illegal Aliens.

I have not read or seen anything bad about Richardson, but if what he does works maybe it will rub of on some other governors that have the same problems. They must work on the Latin gangs and work harder on the drug problems.

Even if just an election stunt,I think he'll get a lot of votes out of it.
I don't think he'll win the Latino voters though.

You will be hearing much more from this dude...as he announced that he intends to run for the Presidency in '08. (probably end up as Hillary's VP).

Weatherman1956 A lot of us here in New Mexico don't understand his turn around on Illegal Alien issues and has resently bothered most of us I knew he went to North Korea a while back but I didn't here anyone call him a friend he was pretty low-profiled.As far as getting my vote don't know about that.If he runs as Hilary's running mate we will wait on that there has to be some bad choices for me to vote for her.
