Dubya is toast and the Republicans haven't got anyone in a front runner position to articulate their vision of how things are going to go Internationally or Domestically so it looks like the ' momentum ' rests entirely with the Dems.. So many candidates so many aspiring Presidential wannabees..

Clinton has big money and clout behind her, but doesn;t sit well with a lot of folks, Obama can check off the ' new and untainted ' column plus he's a ' minority ' [ for whatever that's worth ]..

If they could put away the daggers and desire to rule the country/world from the left side of the fence.. would they be the ' Dream Ticket ' for the next 8 years??

just asking as it seems the steamroller is just getting up to speed on squishing the Rebublican control of the White House...

edited to add: It has to be Clinton/Obama because we all know that Hillary won't ever consider/consent to be second banana on a ticket to the big top...

She did play second cigar.

She can't earn anyone's trust. Listen to her speak...listen carefully. She doesn't necessarily lie about touchy questions...she doesn't answer them. She talks for so long "about" the question, by the time she's done, no one realizes she never answered it. She was asked "do you think Obama would make a good presidential candidate?" First she talked about the political climate, the state of the democratic party, blah, blah. The reporter actually noticed this and repeated the question. She talked about his qualifications, the pros and cons about him being president, blah, blah blah. The reporter either bought this answer or gave up. NEVER, not once, did she say "yes" or "no". She's been doing this for years, in my book, a great study on deceit, what it looks like, and what a pathological liar sounds like.

I believe she would settle for 2nd fiddle if that was the only way she could get elected. Then Obama would be eliminated before the end of his second year and she would be in the White House again without having to be elected to it. Just one more to add to the Clinton body count.

Hmmm, I note that no one has brought up the point that Obama's middle name is 'Hussein'. Are we seriously considering putting anyone with the name 'Hussein' in the White House?

As for Hillary.....she qualifies for the job in her mind only.

gunny, I think you are spot on the money. Wouldn't take the bet on either of them. Whether true or not, if people even think he was educated in a madrassah in Indonesia (being circulated by the Clinton camp, by the way) he is just not going to get elected.

I can't imagine Hillary as POTUS either.

From this corner neither race nor gender is an issue: I'd vote for a Maggie Thatcher or a Michelle Malkin, or a conservative Black guy like Walter Williams.
