Question:
I know that many of us watched this ... what was your opinion on how it went?

Choices:
Great - The President really rocked!
Okay - I wish the Pres would have talked about ...
Poor - (I'm a Democrat and I HAVE to say that!)
I didn't watch it ...
I have no opinion, I haven't heard what the pundits thought yet ...

Very poignant moment between the Marine's family and the Iraqi lady. Notice the blue fingers on some members of Congress?

Sully I agree. The far left of the Dem party is running it far into the ground. The only successfull dems in my opinion will be the ones that distance themselves away from Dean, Gore, Ted Kennedy, Polosi. . .and fall more toward the middle. The party has really moved far from the FDRs, JFKs, and such. IMO they are really hurting. There are no conservative radicals that are as outspoken as the dem radicals. Your avg Amer just doesnt like that nonsense they speak.

Joe I have a feeling that Hiliary is going to take the (D) back to the center. I am not sure I know that much about her I know she has caused the USN a lot of problems I can't remember why the sailors booed her last year but I do remember it happened. But there is no doubt this War will probley give the Presidency to the left I guess we will have to wait and see who emerges out of both parties.

Hillary is rated in the top 5 most liberal democrats - I don't think that she'll be moving the party to the center any time soon... Wink

I can't remember why we booed Hillary either, but I'm sure that there were PLENTY of reasons to do so! Big Grin The dems and especially the leftists running the party now, are known for their "non-support" of the troops.

I don't think that the war will give the next election to the left ... with the elections in Iraq and the fact that a good percentage of the troops will be coming back before the next elections here - it SHOULDN'T hurt the right too much. I think the publicly displayed rancor and obstructionism from the left, will give the next election to the right once more! The American public is fed-up with the childish nonsense that the left continually pulls ...

I say again - if the dems want to fix their party, they need to listen to Zell Miller!

Sparky I agree with you about Zell Miller but I have noticed lately that Hilary has distanced herself away from a lot of others in the party and I don't see how she could go to the left maybe it is because she has a diffrent style. If the (Demo.) go any farther left most Americans would see Socialisum. The kindred spirit I grew up in the Country and always liked to fish and hunt the Demo.thing I have always claimed to be American (D) but never voted full anything I always voted for who I thought would serve my Country the best.

Yeah I don't think Hilary is that moderate, nor a good candadite for prez. IMO Zell is a little to Conservative for most libs, even the moderate ones. The only thing stopping him from going right is is family history of being left. Leiberman(sp?) has really pushed a moderate, and positive image IMO. Unfortunately though he is one of few that I can think of.

I think you are right Joe .I like Leiberman but I think quite frankly he is to honest to take it away from most of the front runners (D) I have a feeling there will be people pop up to the front on both sides that we never expect to be there.
