Sen. Hillary Clinton has come closer than ever to officially throwing her hat into the presidential ring, revealing her White House plans in conversations with several political insiders.
"She said to me, ‘I’m really going to go for this. I’m going to make this effort,’” a New York lawmaker told the New York Post. "She never said she was running for the presidency of the United States or if she was going to announce – or anything like that. It wasn’t a question that needed to be asked. It was an obvious conversation.” Another Empire State lawmaker who spoke with Hillary during a blitz of Clinton phone calls on Monday said she "revealed she felt pressure to formally jump into the 2008 White House race sooner rather than later because other candidates are becoming increasingly active,” the Post reported. Rep. Joe Crowley, a Democrat from Queens, spoke with Clinton on Monday and was convinced she’s going to be in the race. "She just let me know that what I’d been hearing is true and that she wanted my support and help in any way that I possibly could,” Crowley said. Clinton also spoke with the Rev. Al Sharpton, Westchester County Democrat Nita Lowey and supermarket mogul John Catsimatidis, a major donor, the Post reported. Said Catsimatidis: "She wants to get together before the holidays. puits more pressure on Condoleeza to take up thje cause for the ' other side'..
now that would make for one hell of a Presidential race.. The Witch vs the Bitch nothing like an all-out cat fight to liven up the duill world of politics.. now if there could only be a presidential mud- wrestling or jello-pit fight to choose the winner.. Think Condi has the better ' conditioning ' but you can't rule out Hillary's impressive ' thighs ' in a clinch..[ of course they could always opt for 18 year old blonde and voluptuous ' stunt doubles' ]... that's what politics needs, some high borw debating and concentration on the ' issues '... She's another Kerry, if the Dems let her run with this, they'll lose. If Obama makes it through, I might even vote Democrat this time.

I hope that if it is as you say the witch VS bitch, I will vote for Obama. I don't think that the Republicans have anyone good yet.

AH HA The plot thickens LOL
A top fund-raiser for Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign pleaded guilty on Wednesday to felony mail fraud charges in Chicago federal court. James Levin was accused of defrauding the Chicago public school system. He admitted taking part in a scheme to convince school contracting officials that his fencing companies were subcontracting work to businesses owned by minorities or women, while Levin was in fact simply paying those companies for use of their names. Levin – who has described himself as a "dear” friend of President Bill Clinton – was a key witness at the criminal trial last year of David Rosen, Hillary’s national finance director in 2000, who was charged with cooking the books for her campaign. Specifically, prosecutors said, he was linked to the submission of false campaign finance reports in connection with a star-studded fund-raising dinner and concert in Los Angeles in August 2000, the New York Sun reported. Levin testified that Rosen knew the event went far over budget, but Rosen denied knowing about the cost overruns and was acquitted. Levin served on the national finance committees for Hillary’s Senate campaign and Al Gore’s presidential bid in 2000, and raised eyebrows when it was revealed he had once owned a Chicago strip club. According to the Sun, Levin faces no more than six months in prison. story Count it the greatest sin to prefer life to honor, and for the sake of living to lose what makes it worth living. -Juvenal c.50-c.130 |
