Question:
The people of the 22nd District in Texas who voted for Tom Delay in the last election was at 55% which was down from his normal 65% or higher. It is up to them to decide on his reelection and I would not second guess their congressional choice.

This whole ethics issue and the castration of the ethics committee should be a concern for everyone regardless of their political situation. To openly investigate a congressman or woman to either clear the charges or to insure the integrity of the house by finding against them seems a more positive atmosphere in which our elected officials should operate. It is not as though the left is in charge here.

How should congress conduct these investigations or does it really matter?

Harry,I live in New Jersey where EVERY politician is corrupt.There can be no other way as all upcoming pols are beholden to the Democratic and ,yes,Republican cronies that run the parties.
Our past governor,McGreevey,announced he was gay to take the heat off him for improprieties in office and guess what?It worked!!He named his successor as Gov.and resigned to go into private business.Not another word about all the irregularities during his administration.
