The only problem is, the crap did not end after basic training. There was hazing at the armory and hazing at 0 phase of OCS and I can guarentee there would have been hazing at OCS. So when was it suppost to end after I became a 1lt 4 yrs into my contract, give me a break.

rppearso's definition of hazing is someone with higher rank than himself telling him what to do. How dare they tell HIM what to do!!

Or more like screaming and yelling with belittling comments sprinkled in.

Man, you are a whole new brand of stupid rppearso. Is that hazing?

You are a whiner. You are a quitter. You are a disgusting fat-body, Pyle! Is that hazing?

Main Entry: 3haze
Function: transitive verb
Inflected Form(s): hazed; haz·ing
Etymology: origin unknown
1 a : to harass by exacting unnecessary or disagreeable work b : to harass by banter, ridicule, or criticism
2 : to haze by way of initiation <haze the fraternity pledges>

You call it hazing, because you found it disagreeable. That is you. Not the body majority. You found it harassment to do YOUR JOB as a Soldier. It is summed up in one word. Scumbag. Why must we always walk this path, rppearso? You cannot fathom the dedication, honor, or duty involved with serving. Duty involves doing stuff you don't want to. You cannot comprehend the base logic involved with sucking it up, developing a thicker skin, and being an adult. Cry and bitch all you want, but you still cannot change your failures. "It would not stop at OCS!" he cried. You don't know, because you never made it through your part-time OCS to be a part-time butterbar. You assume so. Hence, we assume you to be a world class idiot.

Uhm, rppearso;
In the Army, you have to get used to "belittling comments". I am guessing that you would start weeping and have a nervous breakdown if you were captured and the enemy interrogator made "belittling comments" towards you?
Get real. A soldier has to be hardened. If you can not handle it when someone belittles you, then you do not belong in any Army, especially not in the Respectable US Army.

Thats the same thing I was thinking aufklarer. But the military still maintains the idea of forcing people to stay in.

Yep. We hold guns to their heads, rppearso. We cut their family members' throats if they don't reenlist.

Just let us know when the Starship Heart of Gold lands, buddy.

That is pretty close to acurate cavscout except a little melodramatic. There are some units that will put an individual into deployment status if they do not reenlist or move them over to units to deploy out of spite because they did not reup instead of letting them finish out there last 6 months or whatever and letting them go about there lives

Seems like rppearso has to get a new keyboard every month, because those buttons wear out from him pressing them all the time.
