If you haven't got what it takes to be a Soldier first then why would they even consider you fit to fly an aircraft?

Don't bother Gunny, he thinks that being a military pilot is only about driving the aircraft. He would have washed out big time.

Because I can fly aircraft, im already a civilian pilot. I dident learn what the whole soldier first consept ment until I was in, which means tolerate BS ass chewings and being cussed at and maybe we will let you do what we told you you could do. So yea I guess its just not for me. So I guess being competant issent enough you have to be willing to accept BS because some lt col is on a power trip or else you dont get to fly. I can just do it on my own dime for much less hoop jumping.

Plenty care that are looking to join and want the real facts. They will either care now or when they are in reception and it is too late. If very few joined it would force the military to reconsider its policies or start a politically suicidial draft.

This is where you really shine at being stupid. I am actually left of center in my social outlook, but I am also forthright in my manner. You are a sniveling quitter and beyond my contempt.

It is good that you are not in the military. You are an adult according to chronological reckoning and should take full responsibility for your actions, yet, you blame others because you fail to see your own lack of honor (of which you have none). Not considering a contract binding only when you find it convenient shows a lack of ethical and moral fiber. It is akin to saying that you will follow the Ten Commandments unless you find it inconvenient because it is not what you expected.

Then you have the audacity to think that you have the only viewpoint that is valid on this site when every last person on here as an opposing viewpoint. I wonder how many times you stuck your hand in the fire as a kid before it dawned on you that it was not good for you.

I simply think that you are a pathetic underachiever and it will not be possible for you to convince me otherwise because your command of the language is not well enough developed. You do not even know the meaning of the word rebuke which you keep using in an inappropriate manner. Communication skills are the first sign of intelligence.

Your anti-military mantra is simply not convincing because it is a whine that even those with the most rudimentary language skills can detect for what it is – a self-indulgent passive/aggressive waste of everyone’s time who might stumble across your meaningless diatribes.

That is your opinion, the situation I was in was super simple, I was getting jacked around and I dident take it. The 10 commandments are Gods laws and on a much different level than mans law. God has our best interests at heart if we trust him and do what is right, being a christian is hard and you will stumble alot along the way.

The military is a whole seperate issue, the whole basis of the soldier first mentality shows that the military gets its need met first and you get whats left over and I experenced that first hand. But the biggest reason for leaving was the hostile attitudes, hateful tones of voice, and constant tearing down with little to no build up, tolerating that type of attitude brings me down and makes it much harder to be the man God wants me to be not to mention it totally degrades my quality of life.

My whole point was just to let others know that are thinking of joining the realities of the military with the sugar brushed off. And if already in how to get out of a bad life degrading situation (contract or no contract). If I signed a contract to jump off a cliff and got to the cliff and decided that it was a really stuid decision, im not going to jump just because I signed saying I would.

ah, hell, rrpearso..

I was already set to come back and slap you upside the head for posting yet more ' poor me' crap about being constitutionally violated by the mean and nasty military who didn't understand your needs, etc., etc... but..

hell, this is just an internet forum to be wandered through when time and lazyness permits.. and you aren't worth my typing time because you simply don't get it...

not your fault, probably something your mother ingested when she was pregnant had an adverse effect on your genes...

maybe you could start an on-line charity or something to raise money for research or to buy yourself a plane..

can we get back on topic, What Does Democracy Mean? [ sadly, it seems democracy means letting rrpearso blather on and on and on and on..almost makes you want to repeal the ' freedom of speech ' part ]

well thank the bloody f**k for that!..

If the army was left up to you there'd be ' sensitvity training' , macrame, how to make scrapbooks, find your inner wuss classes and training in the field would end as soon as someone broke a nail...
rrpearso:
" Sgt., I'm tired, could we stop for a snack? "
Sgt.:
" Sure, rrpearso, wouldn't want to have you exert yourself, might strain a muscle--- right! Squad.. decaf tea and oreo cookies time.. if that's all right with the rest of you...could we have a show of hands?

Yep that is one extreme end of the spectrum, the military exists at the other end instead of somewhere in the middle.
