In regards to Tony Blair's pleas for help in the MidEast. What should we do in regards to the whole situation. Stay the course that we have been, or give more of a helping hand to Mr. Blair politically?

Was he asking us for help or the rest of the world? I don't know how we could help him politcally. His political foes are mostly internal and it's upon those grounds he will have to deal with them.

Blair really has no say in what goes on in the israeli/palestenian conflict....nor does the EU. The only country that has a real say is the US.

With Arafat gone it seems to have a slight chance of getting better. The elections were an encouraging sign.

I don't know. It is one of those areas where I will believe change when I see it. It could be better now that Arafat is gone, but the people of Palistine are pretty radical. That worries me.

the only reason Blair ever helped is so he could be the go between the U.S. and Euro-relations! Other than that he is more a Billy-bob! Besides, Blair would survive better if the U.S. never supported him as far as elections are concerned!
