Good for TIME, and the prez. I support their pick.

Pat Tillman and Ronald Reagan are two that come to mind.

I heard they were considering using the whistleblower who exposed the whole abu ghraib mess for man of the year, since among all the people aware of what was going on (and thre HAD to hve been a lot!) he was the only one with the guts and integrity to come forward.

I could understand that, but keep in mind that any soldier w/ integrity SHOULD have done the same thing. All part of the job.

while I agree that it was the duty of any solider to report it, it took one who did do it..and what are we hearing about him now? nothing..he barely had any time in the spotlight, but the perpetuators of the crime are still having plenty of it, and that is a shame. I have a sneaking suspicion that because he was the whistleblower that his life is being made a living hell.

He ratted out comrades in arms. He's the one who should be serving time.

Bush good choice! For having the staying power to do the right thing and putting the world on notice!
As far as, Abu Ghraib, I would have ratted them out too! But, would have used the chain of command all the way! If that didn't work! I don't know that I would have the stomach to talk to the press! Congressal yes, but I would have worned the chain of command first of my actions if theirs didn't stop! Their treatment of the prisoners was criminal but again I believe they were just the willing pets of those who supported it. As much as I hate the inhuman scum that we face you will never get the truth out of them the way they went about things! |

quote: I think that the original whistleblower did go through chain of command. I think it was Hackworth that got wind of it somehow and he was the one to leak it, but I don't know if it was the original whistleblower who told Hackworth or someone else to have him bring it to the attention of the media. |

Why not put Bush on the cover they put Lt. Calley on it in 1970 didn't they? BTW Bush did not murder any one that I know of.

I was wondering what in the Hell was going on here. 2004? Now they have launched Obama at America 14 times on their stupid cover in one damn year. There actually is racism, it's white liberals who over praise black people for more or less doing things white people do. Things like running for President and stuff. Twits.
