Gunny:
This guy a friend of yours? Seems this Marine attracts trouble..maybe he needs an attitude adjustment, or is the rest of the people on the internet he ' talks' to,really that crappy ? " A US Sailor who got mad when someone mocked him as a ' ned' on the internet, climbed into his car and drove 2,000 kilomtres from Virginia to Texas to teach the other guy a lesson. Russell Tavares, 27, a Weapons-Systems Petty Officer, posted photos online of the welcome signs of each state he passed through to show his progress. When he finally got to his destination he set fire to his ' enemy's ' trailer and burnt it to the ground causing $ 50,000 damage. The victim used an alias online but was easy to track down - John Anderson, 59, former Marine and operator of The Museum of Horrors Haunted House in Waco, Texas John says he continues to be harassed online by antagonists and has found bullet holes in the doors to his business..." Wonder what he says to piss these guys off? [ mind you Navy guys are sort of like nerds - ] There I was , at the head of the old 68th... |

Go figure. this should serve as a good example of what can happen when the annonimity of the net isn't much of a factor. A word to the wise, play nice on the net or else we could be reading about your front door filled with bullet holes!
I don't know this particular John Anderson, but I already like him. If he can raise such a reaction of a swabbie then he's staying true to the Marine Creed.....giving sailors grief in and out of uniform! Gentlemen (for whom I hold the highest possible
regard): How was said squid (used purely in its complimentary and respectful sense) able to track Mr. Anderson down? Thank you, Sirs. ______________________THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS THE PACK; THE STRENGTH OF THE PACK IS THE WOLF--Kipling |

Perhaps he mentioned that he ran the haunted house in waco while he was online? Wouldn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination to runa google on him to come up with the address, show up and follow the guy home that locked the doors every niught....

I'm assuming that John is now investing in asome Kevlar jammies for when he sleeps in his bedroll under the stars amid the burnt out husk of his trailer..
and, that said Sailor is not returning to his duties sometime soon but enjoying another branch of Government Service, the Penal System, where his weapons skills will be of limited use in making licence plates and mail bags.. There I was , at the head of the old 68th... |

yup thegunny you are right frankly I don't care much about burning a man's house just because he has a big mouth(kinda like the fence sitter and another big Mouthed Squarehead. My idea of a cure would have been I would have drove my 4x4 through his front door then kicked his ass. (Take your own advice about the Internet).

Dude, that navy guy is freaking nuts, I mean a single insult on the internet and he burns someone's trailer down and shoots at his shop? Seriously if everyone did that, or if even a dozen did that there would be no freaking trailers left in the whole of the united states. Seriously people take things WAY to seriously.
