See that the mighty miss Winfrey is in need of an ego-deflating pill after a recent ' shopping mishap ' in Paris [ Snooty French Boutique snubs Big Blowhard American - Political overtones in this? ]

Seems Oprah wanted to blow a few thou on frou frou handbags and such [ she's got about a dozen of them from Hermes at around $ 6500 a pop - why? ] and arrived after closing time with her ' entourage '..

Hermes shop was setting up for a ' private function ' to which - horrors - Oprah wasn't invited!! and she got miffed that they wouldn't put down their decorative bunting and hel;ium filled balloons and ' escort ' her through the racks where she could ooh and aww and drop a bundle on even more expensive sh*t she didn't need, cause she can...

Now she's all huffy and made such a stink that Hermes has had to pay out megabucks to hire a spin doctor or two to make an apology and grovel statement about a ' misunderstanding ' etc. etc.. afraid that one word from the TV Diva and legions of midwestern tourists will bypass Hermes shops next time hubby takes them for a vacation to gay Paree..

No sympathy on my part for overpriced and overhyped crap mascarading as ' fashion ' but it's all P.T. Barnum..as for Oprah.. well...get a life..just cause you can dictate to the unwashed where they can spend their money [ on your stuff mostly ] doesn't mean you can rule the world or any part of it..
