Please excuse this intrusion, but this is the first forum I found that looked like a good place to communicate with people experienced with the military.

The problem:

There is a person who constantly posts rabidly anti-American and anti-Military slander on one of the craigslist forums. For example...
http://greenville.craigslist.org/rnr/659510497.html

This trash he posts is disturbing to myself and others, though we do understand that he has freedom of speech.

So what I'm wondering is, what's the best way to respond to somebody like this? Is it best to ignore? I don't want to tell him how I really feel - no point to posting a rant laden with obscenities, and he'd probably laugh anyway.

But he perpetually posts things that berate our military and our flag.

Comments and suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why dont you just ignore it. Although he is partially right, alot of military members have a holier than thou attitude when they are in fact anything but. Also the military is unconstitutional in the respect that you cant quit at anytime which amounts to indentured servitude whether you volunteered or not. Members in the military should still be treated like human beings but there poor behavior and holier than thou attitudes should not be tolerated.

How do you know that he isn't talking about you?

Just tear their argument apart and let them have it. For instance, the moron on craigslist thinks the US military still uses serial numbers. It doesn't. He's probably ignorant of a few other things. Here's an example--

Retardo, tell me again how long you served that you can give advice about serving in the military? Oh, that's right, you washed out in basic training (or was it OCS), doesn't really matter, you washed out and never did a day outside a training command. You have ZERO experience to speak of in regards to how military folks are treated. YOU were treated like crap because you were in basic training status. Part of that process is to weed out whining sh!tbags like you. It worked, get over it. And who has the holier than thou attitude? Could have sworn you told the members of this forum that you had an engineering degree....as a matter of fact, I think I've read it several dozen times, and that you are better than everyone on this forum...yes, I seem to remember that.

Two more things f*ckstick-- THERE, THEY'RE, THEIR. Learn the difference.

--can't, don't, won't. It's that key off to the side of your right pinky, douchebag.

That is all.

Just because I was in training status is no excuse for any of the behavior that went on. If it is there to weed you out then I should have been able to walk away when I told the drill sgt I wanted out in basic training and been given a plane ticket the same day but that didn't happen (in fact that is not even close to what happened) so tell me again how is it a weed out process they kept me in as long as they could and I had to go to great lengths to get out. You weed out story is inconsistent with your signed on the dotted line story.

I get a lot of bullshit like that on youtube on my military vids and instead of ignoring them or cussing them out, I just get my facts together and humiliate them to the point where they won't even bother replying. Guilt is always the best way to bring a flamer down online.

I went into the gas station today and
asked for five dollars worth of gas....
The clerk farted and gave me a receipt.
