I'm in Heaven for the next four weekends.. leaving later today [ Thurs] for the first of four major Whoop-ups [ if the heat don't kill me first ]..

Time to Blow Up Americans Real Good, again..Fort George [ Niagara-on-the-Lake Canada ] versus Fort Niagara [ Youngstown , New York ] to start off the campaign..cross border cannonade, naval assault and full on ground battles..

Following week Wasaga Beach and the Battle for the Nancy [ the story should be a movie, only problem is no one would believe it was true and Hallywood would want to make America win ]...

Then a little local smoozing to end the month at Fort Malden in Amherstburg hard by Detroit/ Windsor border crossing and, then back at it at Fort Erie for the annual Blow up the Fort weekend opposite Buffalo N.Y...

what a way to slip from July into August...

If I haven't sweated off at least 30 pounds while carting two layers of blue wool, full kit and a batch of rockets..there ain't no justice..

Back at you on Monday,after the first ' skirmish '; God willing and if the beer holds out..

I'd tell you to enjoy yourself, but thats pretty much a given huh?

Just remember the rule.....properly hydrate yourself...and yes beer is a great hydrator, and makes for some fragrant sweat! (we want the Americans to smell ya coming from a mile or so awary!)

have barely sorted the mess from the last rat's ass bust up and I'm off again to defend history and keep it alive..

the heat was oppressive, but, true to form, Mad Dogs and Englishmen, we were out in two layers of woolies and fur blasting away across the fields.. the American artillery put on an impressive display..and the Kentucky Dragoons added a nice touch.. must have used deaf horses..cause the noise could be heard in two countries...

This time I'm off to Nancy Island where we'll ' fight them on the beaches ' , which has its compensations - bikini babes watching and ripe for a little personal instruction in the fine art of..., and a down side as the gun carriages sink into the sand to the axles...



should I survive the weekend, I'll return and put fingers to keyboard and regale the regulars with some of my sxploits in the 19th century..

maybe its time to retell the saga of Rocketeer and the Chicken Weatherman keeps asking about

On another note....I'll be away from the site until 11 August. I'm taking my 15 days vacation all at once. Gotta get out of this heat. Its been averaging 115 degrees everyday here.
