Apparently Christina Aguilera is all the rage at Guantanamo Bay..

Seems that they blast her music repeatedly in an attempt to break the will of Al Quaeda suspect, Mohammed Al Qatani.. they were going to use Celine Dion but Amnesty International raised such a big fuss..

And, JLo..bless her plump round heinie, is launching a new line of jewellery - for dogs!!

Jennifer " has always found it somewhat frustrating that there are limited accessories available for them "..

I'm sure most Rottweillers would agree that they can never find the rigt accessory to wear when licking themselves.

The dog jewlery is more than likely designed for those little rat like dogs that yap, shiver and shake until you tuck them into your pocket or purse. My big dogs would EAT the jewlery. Zen (the regal Newf) might actually enjoy the "Blink", but it won't take our Lab, Sam (as in "Sam I'am...an idiot"..lol) but a few minutes to figure out how to get it off and eat it. The damn dog has figured out how to get his collar off, and once he has accomplished the task...he eats the damn thing. At $9 a pop, we have finally decided that we will have to live with the rattle of the choker chain since it's the only thing he doesn't eat. He does however know how to get it off. Guess he's not as much of an idiot as I think he is..lol

PS: Those little yappy dogs are defined as "One Shake's" in our house...Our boys get ahold of one of em, and it's only gonna take one shake..lol

The only ' jewelery ' that my pooch, Guinness, wears is a vinyl luggage tag that looks like a full glass of Guinness ale with the corporte logo on it. [fow which neither I nor the dog receive recompense from the beer company for all the advertizing this generates in the neighbourhood. If they didn;'t make such good beer I'd be pissed.. oh, wait, after a few I usually am LOL ]...

mmmmmmmmmm...Guinness...

Rocket, your making me thirsty, and it's only 9:45 am!

If you don't have a Guinness...how about a Sheath Stout or Murphy's?

As for Jewelry...all the boyz get are simple brass or stainless slip on ID tags. The dogs are micro-chipped so I have ID numbers on the tags with a phone number to call. I can't stand the jingle of chokers and ID tags, so all the ID tags have to be able to stay on thier nylon buckle up collars without jingling. If you ask the Newf to "go find your bling"..he goes nuts looking for his choker. That means he gets to go in bye bye the truck. The lab just goes nuts when I move my keys.

He is such a lug nut..lol

Buy the way Mom, my oldest is moving out by you, at least somewhere out there. Her husband is moving her out where he works in a Seabee base.

Any idea which base, Mech? Perhaps NAS Lemoore? Thats only a couple hours away from me.

And as for the Labs..yeah, they are dumber than dirt, but sweet tempered and loyal to the bone. Sam may appear to be a big meathead...but NOBODY comes between him and his mama. He is the second Lab we have owned, and if I hadn't already walked the road..I would be ready to kill this one. I just figure it takes about 3 years for the brain to mature, and this one is only 1 year old. Lord give me strength..lol

Zeus, (the other lab we had) finally got to go live with his mama in Colorado when she went home in Jan. Our other dog Zen (the Newf) had never been an only child, and was heart broken to lose his buddy. I fixed that within 24 hours. I found Sam at the same no kill shelter that we got Zen at, and from day one these 2 have been buddies. Sam still does stupid shit and Zen just looks at him with this face that says "Junior, mom's gonna beat the crap out of you.."..lol

Ducks at the resevoir can be real fun with Sam. He THINKS he's a field dog, but this dumb lab goes bounding through the water, splashing and barking...Some field dog Roll Eyes

Is that near the Ventura vicinity? The base sound like the name he mentioned.
When my lab is loose in the dog run, he just keeps bounding around like he's lost it with the biggest grin(my imagination?) on his face.
