Question:
Between the active duty and vets here I'm sure everyone has an opinion on this. Mine is quite simple...I DO NOT drink lattes or cappaccino. When I have coffee I damn sure want it to look, smell and taste like coffee. But I'm curious as to what your favorites are. That and its 0409 and I'm bored.

So what is your favorite coffee and why?

Regular
Decaf
French Roast
100% Columbian
Who cares as long as its hot, black and as thick as Mississippi mud.

 

Store-Brand Instant Coffee...Black. And don't ever let me catch you rinsing out my cup...

OK, so that's a bad joke. But I do drink black coffee, strong enough for a spoon to stand up in. That's what we used to call Whorehouse Coffee: Keeps ya goin' all night.

ps: Don't bother giving me any of that unleaded stuff.

Why the hell would anyone drink decaf??

As for coffee it's gotta stand the spoon test. Come to think of it, so do the wimmings - but there is whipped cream involved in that op.

I usually try to stay away from the foofoo stuff as much as possible. But many of the people I work with want coffee that takes you 20 minutes to pronounce it and state how you like it.

My style regular with 2 shots of sugar.

If that is not available then I drink between 4 liters of the Dew stuff a day for the most part. Warm in the 2 liter bottles.

I got addicted in the Navy ... I drink coffee ALL day long, as a matter of fact- it's almost 0200 and I am STILL drinking coffee. I drink about 2 pots a day by myself.

I guess I am a puss though, I drink mine with 2 sugars and creamer (a shot of milk if available). I don't go for any of those flavored creamers or foo-foo coffees though.

I really liked the coffee that they serve you in the ME, strong enough to dissolve metal and sweet enough to give you a cavity!

slpavman...I'm like you only different. I learned to drink it in the Army...and was taught the "correct" way by an old 1SGT. Strong and black. And I had a coffee pot in my room in the barracks and made it strong enough to fuel an APC. In fact, if it resembled the old oil from a duece 1/2 it was just about right.

That made my wife nuts since after we got married I was still making it that way...had to tone it down for her. But I got so used to drinking that way that now I can drink about a pot right before I get off work (at 0700) and go home and get right to sleep. I don't drink it to stay awake...since it won't keep me awake. I drink it because I like it.
