Author Hunter Thompson is dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
I remember the first book of his that I read."Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas".I laughed until I cried.He captured the distorted reality of Vegas so perfectly.
I had never read anything like that before.A completely new style of writing to me.
Another classic is "The Hells Angels",his book about trying to get close to the Angels and the drugs,women,and bikes that go with it.Another classic.
His books were NOT for the faint of heart.If you have a dislike of reading about sex,drugs,booze,women,demented behavior, weapons,......well, skip it.
