Up in the True North we're shutting down government offices [ like anybody would notice ] and firing up the barbie once more before the snow flies in celebration of Canajan Thanksgiving.. the day when stupid Brit, Martin Frobisher was saved from freezing his gonads by the Innuit and gave thanks with a party with the locals..

We'll be enjoying traditional Thanksgiving fare in honour of the occasion. Sizzling polar bear steaks with a heaping helping of whale blubber, for dessert - seal flipper pie - and all washed down with 12 and half % alcohol-fueled Spruce Beer to ward off the chills as we sit on the porch and watch the first snowflakes fall.

Doesn't get any better than this...eating, drinking and watching grown men in funny shorts, with knives strapped to their feet, chase a frozen piece of rubber up and down a field of ice....

Got family returning to the fold to partake and grandchildren to corrupt, can't ask for more than that.
