This is a very good movie, if you don't mind some character development along the way. I noticed some similarities with Iraq. In the Old West (like Iraq) the good guys were not always the good guys and the bad guys weren't always totally bad. In the Old West, like Iraq, the government didn't have enough people and control over the territory, leaving local justice in the hands of citizens, who weren't always strong enough to defend themselves against the bad guys, even though there were more good than bad. Also, some of these citizens weren't necessarily all that good, and a little cash thrown at them could make them quickly change sides (like in Iraq). And the Pinkerton men of this movie and the Old West are reminiscent of Halliburton and Blackwater of today (having to do part of the US Government's "dirty work"). And, incidentally, the movie is set in a desert location (like Iraq). This message has been edited. Last edited by: TOW Gunner, |

This is one that I thought I would go see this week. Thanks for the review!
