Gunny asked that I keep you boys up to date on my ' movie career'..Well, I'm good to go for the two shoots this weekend.. Friday/Sat. I'm actually playing Americans during the War of 1812.. specifically, US officers at the Battle of Stoney Creek.. Both American Generals got lost, one got knocked out, and were captured by the British.. filming some small skirmish/action sequences as a backgrounder to one of those interminable ' documentaries ' -you know the kind.. talking heads followed by cheesy, underfunded re-enactments that scream of shoddy production value and ' on the cheap ' efforts.. hopefully, I can ' improve' that at least for this one and give the US spin a bit of polish...[ ain't I nice? ]

As to the other one.. Monday, I'm jumping to the present for a CBS mini-series called "The Hades Factor".. got my ten colour-matched GI/Marines all shaven and shorn and pumped and ready.. Got 'em trained for the two scenes required.. They got to be seen doing PT in their T's and shorts and then jogging in the stereotypical US fashion all in unison shoutin/singing some cadence jargon like a bunch of nancy boys while the ' real stars' do their bit in the foreground..ho hum...

Still can't complain, as 'technical advisor' on the two efforts, my consultant's fees should cover more than a few bills...

I'll post how it all goes next week when the make-up is washed off and the paparazzi have left me alone...

Let us know the broadcast dates when they come along. Some of us can catch the CBC signal (the new Dr. Who is good).

Will do... The ' documentary history thingy' is a 'pilot' so it may never see the light of day [ or cathode ] ..the other is a CBS effort so I expect that it is slated for boradcast in the US sometime in the spring of 2006..

I'll see what I can find out.
