Plenty of people died, but few animals did. When I lived in Oceanside, California in the late 80's there was an earthquake. About 2 minutes before the quake, the cat in the upstairs apartment started running around frantically. This was base housing (thin walls and ceilings), and you could hear the footsteps through the ceiling. The cat had never done that before, and never did again. |

well one thing for sure is if i am ever on a beach and see leashed dogs running for high ground i am so outta there!

they know. maybe they feel the pressure like they do before a storm.very interesting story.

it's the same thing with earthquakes..animals can sense it..reports after northridge were myriad that I read in the paper of cats caterwauling, dogs and coyotes howling, birds taking off or if they were caged, banging against it, etc..
I wonder what kind of studies science is doing or looking into about this? |
