I just saw this pic and thought it was pretty cool, so I figured I'd show it. Does anyone know what kind of fish it is?? There is no story to the pic...

Green 84 Those are Halibut, they grow em big in Alaska. Question: Why go fishing in an Alaskan blizzard? Answer: For the Halibut!

oh that one I can't even remember where I got it but I remember I had it in my puter. I am not that good at figuring stuff out for the first time either, but once I do then it's all gravy.

I do remember that particular fish WAS caught in Oklahoma somewhere...in Lake Texoma I believe..

I wouldn't put on a pic of some of the fish I have caught on a site either..Big Grin

I have kidded around with my son when we swim at Lake Eufala for so long about 'killer catfish' that he thinks the picture isn't real but that I just found it and wanted to show it to him to scare him..ROFL~! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Amy, That is a "wels" or Danube River Catfish, I looked it up in my copy of the Dorling Kindersley Fishing Encyclopedia. They get 300 lbs.

Yep, halibut .... I had a buddy that was stationed in Adak, Alaska - he fished for those all of the time, he said any under 60 pounds were called a "chicken" and thrown back!
