Now that Iraq is settled, Afghanistan is under control and Syria quaking in its boots..that the issue of oil has been put to rest.. Western business is even scrambling to nail down 'co-production deals ' and ' resource rights' from that paragon of democratic, enlightened rule, President-for-life, Saparmurat Niyazov, or, as he likes to be called, Turkmenbashi The great...
just in time, too..as a new source of the black gold is needed to feed the egos and the toys of the Hollywood set who are tiring of their Hummers and want the next big thing.. the International CXT [ Commercial Extreme Truck ] which trumps just about anything on the road..[ and off ] 7 tons unloaded, with a carrying capacity of another 6 tons, a diesel engine that churns out power and fumes with the best of them and at 9 feet clearance won't fit a strandard garage [ but then if you can't park it ostentatiously in your driveway, what good is it? ] Will Smith loves his.. its Black and Silver.. not to be outdone, the Russians are introducing to the West [ coming to a dealer near you ] the Kombat!! more a commie Hummer/SUV it is bigger, fasdter, heavier and thirstier..standard equipment is AK-47/sniper round proof panels [ optional anti-tank plating ] during the attack you can settle back and enjoy the in-car minibar, DVD player and LCD TV... no word on the insurance premiums ..but, hell, if you have to ask..you can't afford it... The Lesbians living next door gave me a Rolex. I think they misunderstood when I said " I wanna watch. " |

And of course, the new hybrid cars now on the market are supposed to show the public that car companies are trying to develop alternate means of powering vehicles.
We have been struggling with alternitve power sources for years. There is no true incentive for auto companies to do it. If America would commit to setting a deadline, say ten years, for cars to be powered by less expensive and less polluting fuels, there would be a mad rush for new developments. I would gladly give up my gas guzzling V-6 4WD for an economical hybrid or alternate fueled vehicle. The problem is that they are more expensive, lack any power and for the majority are not big enough for my 6 foot 4 inch frame. Maybe one day they will come out with a hybrid Ford F-350!!!!

As someone from Michigan who has had ties to the automotive business, I can tell you that the car companies do not want any government regulation concerning fuel economy. What will happen is that the Japanese or the Germans will come up with a car with power and economy that is based on an alternate power source. Then, and only then, will American car companies ask the Federal Government for rule changes and tax breaks in order for them to catch up with the foreign companies.
The person that I know who owns a hybrid car uses it for urban driving only and thinks his car is wonderful and has plenty of power – he is also not over 6 feet tall. We have a few bio-diesel stations nearby and they are a better choice because they get better mileage and use less petroleum. Ann Arbor City uses it for their trucks and it is starting to catch on with other consumers. As far as vehicle size goes – I do not feel I need to extend my manhood.
