Hello all! Though I just registered as a user on the forums I've been reading through a great deal of the discussions over the past few months in attempt to gather all the intel I can on the armed forces. I'm 100% committed to joining the military but am on the fence as to whether I want to enlist in the Army or the Air.

Here is my predicament. I'm an academic junior (in college) with 60 credits. I would like to become an officer but I don't want to continue over leveraging myself w/ student loans. Finishing my degree and then joining is out of the question. I figure I can finish my degree within two years.

So my question is which would be better to do. Enlist in the Air Force for 4yrs, finish my degree in 2, hope I get accepted to become an officer, and then wait a year as the process pans itself out? Instead should I take a 2 or 3 year contract in the Army, complete my degree, and then have more leverage in regards to getting OCS when I reenlist?

p.s. I've already spoken to recruiters from every branch and have yet to receive a satisfactory answer.

If you are concerned about paying back your student loans...check out the College Loan Repayment Program, it is an enlistment incentive.
