Hi Guys and Gals. I have several rental homes available near the Dover Air Force Base, but I am not sure who to contact on base to let them know about this? Any idea who I would contact? Someone said the "housing officer" would pass along info on available houses to those who are looking? Not sure. Any info you can provide is helpful and appreciated!

Thanks,
"Retired SFC, USArmy"

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- A Department of Defense-wide housing referral network is scheduled for implementation on Dover Air Force Base Thursday.

Those interested in advertising or seeking out real-estate rentals, will now utilize the Automated Housing Referral Network, a property-listing Web site.

According to the AHRN Website, www.ahrn.com, the system allows servicemembers 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week access to available listings and a comprehensive, Web-based system to help manage listings and marketing efforts.

Military members, property managers and military-housing offices will all have access to information on the Web site.

"We expect to see improvement in the relocation process," said Ray Couey, 436th Civil Engineer Squadron housing and base asset manager. "(The network) provides real time information and reduces the time needed to find available housing."

The network will affect people at all levels of the DoD who need to find housing in areas close to military installations, said Mr. Couey.

The base will ease into the new system. "The Web site will be up Thursday, but members may still contact the Housing Management Office for printouts until all properties are listed," he said.

Mr. Couey said the HMO is excited about the arrival of AHRN as the new service will help strengthen their customer service process. For information, contact the HMO at 677-6969 or 677-6975.
