It's a Marine Thing
SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL I prefer to think that the chip on my shoulder gives the monkey on my back something to play with. I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I’m doing. “The Meek shall inherit the earth….after I’m through with it.” |

Yet we always get those that accuse Marines of having pride and being arrogant. Didn't that just happen in here recently?
You'd think that veterans at the memorial from the other branches of service would ask to borrow some wadding to polish up their own service emblems, though? Seems to me what some call pride and arrogance is just respect and honor for those who went before. Marine Corps DNA, generation to generation. Yup, others could be out there with the elbow grease too, right after morning PT.
