Hello everyone, I am looking for some quick advice. I am considering going back into the service. Here is my history:

1995-1998 Air National Guard, Visual Information
1998-2001 US Army, Infantry
2001-2007 US Air Force, Visual Information
Including 2 tours in Iraq

I have about 12 years total, and yes I jump around alot. I was let go under the Air Force's Force Shaping program due to my career field being eliminated. I have been a civilian since March and am working for a good company, crappy pay right now but a strong future. But I feel like I am missing something, civilian life just doesn't feel normal. But I am apprihensive about going back in. I am looking for other opinions on if I should stick it out as a civilian or go back in. I would be going back in the Army (had more fun there). Probably as a 25M but that isn't a definite. My left knee is jacked up so I don't think I can go back as an 11B. Thank you in advance for any help in this decision.

We see this type of question frequently in here, so your not alone in this situation. You need to speak to a recruiter of which ever branch you feel that will fill this void your experiencing in civie life. While I'm not up on what a 25M job code is in the Army, if you think this will do it for you, then go for it.

You did mention that your civilian job has great growth potential in the long term. Advise you weigh this carefully. One should always be looking towards the future and planning for it. The military has many benifets, but then again so does the civilian community.
