Even if you don't smoke or dip, tobacco products are hard currency when one is overseas. Make sure you have a reliable person send you a regular supply of Marlboros or Copenhagen, depending on your crowd. And on some deployments this won't be possible.

Good point. WHile deployed to that area last time, I couldn't find any american tabacco products, and had to resort to the local brands, and soon developed a taste for cuban cigars. They were readily available.

The asterisk definitely threw it off. And yes, the tobacco ads are still there.
I noticed on the other thread that those stupid Iraqi dinar ads popped up. (see the actual thread for the surgeon general's warning on buying dinar from anyone but a regular commodities broker.) |
