Vision for 2009
* Make soldiers BOSS aware.
* Get more Army installations to stop taking meal deductions from our single soldiers pay and
implement a pay as you go system for meals provided by a dining facility.
* Get the regulations out in the open and see what they really say about living in unaccompanied
housing.
* Make the term barracks a bad word.
* Get the Army to get away from community style living when it comes to building unaccompanied
housing. Instead the Army should build studio style apartments.
* Outline every single excuse possible that will be used by the command for substandard living and
show documented proof that shows those exact excuses to be false.
* Become an official organization.
* Get a .com up and running to advice soldiers on single soldier living.
* Operate a toll free hotline
* Get an official mailing address

It sounds like a union to me. This is probably against regulations.

Hm… “barracks” being a bad word??? I must say that this is the military, not a condo. I believe that some of the single soldier’s rights should be recognized such as pay being the same as married soldier’s, but at the same time that should be determined as to wether or not this is s single soldier with child. I do not think that s single soldier should get the same pay as a married soldier with child. As far as young soldier’s that are less than an un-married sergeant should be living in that nasty word, ”barracks” as it is a way to keep young dumb soldiers from doing anything stupid for the most part. If you can’t take the fact that the military is a no stupid in a no stupid zone then perhaps you should not be in the military.

I can remember them bitching about having to stand formation each morning. They even circulated a petition about it. (I was single at the time.)

Thing never seem to change. I know that George Washington had trouble with this type of crap too.
