Hello all, I'm an E-5 in the army about to ETS. My wife just joined the air force (she's actually still in basic right now). And i was contemplating re-enlisting. If I were to re-up how would i go about stayin together with my wife. I know the Army has the joint dormicile program, but I'm not sure about two seperate branchs.
Thanks for any help you can give me BUN As you are killing time, time is slowly killing you |

See your admin shop. Some services have agreed to a quasi-joint domicile agreement between them. I know the USN/USMC have an agreement. When POSSIBLE they allow the married personnel to be co-located. Certain MOS's can make this impossible....seeing your location reminds me of one- a Korean linguist married to a Serbian linguist-- might not work out...

Well I am a Mechanic and my wife is going to be a driver. So hopefully that makes things easier. Thank you for the info. Anyone know if the Airforce and the Army have a quasi-joint dormicile program?

I dont know what your plans are for the future but have you thought about going blue?
I know that there are some assignments that the air force have on army posts but they are rare. Having said that, i dont think very many people volunteer for them. If there is something like that on your post for her type of job than she should be able to volunteer for and get it no problem |
