I'm in the process of latmoving and I've got the final screening board this Friday. Anyone on here done it before and have good advice to give?

Read the newspaper (international news), there'll be some current events-- topics like current military operations, terrorist attacks, and current hot spots/conflicts. Other than that, the interview is designed to get you to think on your feet and be creative. Can't prepare for that. And tell the truth. We're trained in and practiced bullshit detectors.

yea? i stopped by 3rd CI/HUMINT co. today and bullshitted a bit with one of the sgts who boarded me a few weeks ago. i mostly asked him about what to expect as a CI/HET marine in the fleet and deployed iso OIF; i was kind of blown away by the fact that the vast majority of attachments are to grunt companies, and how just ONE CI/HET marine is assigned per platoon. he also mentioned how the ignorance of unit attached to can make life and mission accomplishment difficult and suck.

somehow in the midst of this quality mentorship i forgot to ask about my next major hurdle: CI school! lol. all i know is, be prepared to roleplay a lot, probably a lot of reading, and SERE school. i realllllllly don't want to do SERE training. one of the things i put in my bio's likes/dislikes section was "i dislike wildlife." lol.

so what can i expect at school? will OJT at my local CI co. prepare me sufficiently? can i bank on DLI training at some point during my upcoming reenlistment (DLAB: 131)?
