My sisters cousin-in-law got to meet GNYSGT R. Lee Ermey! Here is the photographic proof. Scott is the one standing up in the very far left. When my sister got married he was the one who walked me down the isle. F*in lucky bastard! Ha ha ha!

Gotta admit, though.I don't remember the name of the movie but R Lees character and Jack Blacks character gave each other a lip lock that you would not believe.I turned the channel quicker than a hurry.Did not want to see the "soft side"of ole R Lee.

Right off the top of my head he was in Texas chainsaw Massicare, Full metal jacket, and I believe he was in a Rob Zombie flick. I would have to check that out to confirm.

Years ago I was on a plane heading for San Diego. Second class had no seats so they tossed me in first. I go beyond the curtains and there sits a full side of military men to my right. Nobody was on the left isle so I sat down on that side. Those dudes didn't look my way or care too after I sat down. Soon we are up and away and this old lady wearing a mink gets up and heads back a few to converse with her pals or what not. Thats when I see this old fella looking up at the stars from his window at the front. Stewardess were coming and going from that old man with little bits of paper. I ask one whats up and one hot babe told me it was General Omar Bradley. It was 197-something and there I sat watching this 5 star General looking up at the stars.

Boys in Company C, one of my all time favorites.
Gotta love R. Lee, I got one of his "motivational" figurines that has a bunch of soundbites from Full Metal Jacket and more. I take it when to the VA hospital for when things get bad and I start feeling sorry for myself... great motivation for all. Great intro to his website too, "Most squared away website known to man": http://www.rleeermey.com/ -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- thinking of a jazzy sig-line |
