This is to all US Marines out there. I am currently planning on enlisting sometime next week. The biggest question on my mind right now is, if you could go back in time, would you still do it all over again? Or would you choose a different branch of the armed forces, or a university? Your replys will definately help me out here.

I would do it again. It was hard, but you'll be stronger - stronger than most, both mentally and physically, after your tour.

I'd do it all over again. I SHOULD have finished school (college), but had I done that, would not have ended up with a career I'm proud of and the experiences I gained. The USMC is the only service I would go in (again).

Hmmmm? To go back and stand on those yeller footprints again at MCRD? Scary as those days were, I shudder to think of how my life would have turned out, had I never stood there at MCRD and became a U.S. MARINE.
University? It wasn't an option for me back then. Other branch of the Service? Naw, walked right by all the other recruiters standing there and headed straight for the guy that bought be a few rounds at the bar the previous weekend. Besides, the Marine Corps started in a bar, and that clinched it for me!
