My name is Andrea Byron and I am the Website Administrator for a group known as The Few, The Proud, The Forgotten (or TFTPTF). TFTPTF was formed to raise awareness about the water contamination that occurred on U.S. MCB Camp Lejeune in NC from the 1950s through 1987. The USMC is currently trying to notify thousands of Marines, Naval personnel, dependents and civilians of their possible exposure and are asking that people register at www.marines.mil. I wanted to share this information with you in case you hadn't heard of it yet and possibly knew someone who was stationed at Lejeune during this timeframe. Not sure what this is about as I never served in the Corps, figured you guys might know. I did check the link, it seems to be a valid link for the marine camp Lejeune. I guess take it for what it's worth.

I don't know about this organization (though it looks legit), but I have received several letters about this from veterans' organizations and official USMC channels about this as well.

I was at Lejeune in the mid-late 90s and clean up of the contamination was still going on (mostly from dry cleaner chemicals which leaked into the water table).
