I would like to say Happy birthday with many more to come and to thank you for your service to the nation. SEMPERFI cheer

Count it the greatest sin to prefer life to honor, and for the sake of living to lose what makes it worth living.

November 10th was also the grand opening of the new Marine Corps Museum in Quantico, VA. Museum will be open to the public on Mon.

Happy (belated) Birthday Marines. After the Ball I spent my Veteran's Day attending the funeral of one of our fallen in Flagstaff, AZ. Been a rough couple of days.

Medal of Honor is first for a Marine since Vietnam

By Gidget Fuentes
Staff writer

Cpl. Jason Dunham will receive the Medal of Honor. —

President Bush announced Nov. 10 that Cpl. Jason Dunham, who died more than two years ago after covering a grenade with his helmet to save fellow Marines, will receive the Medal of Honor.

Dunham will be the first Marine to receive the award — the nation’s highest award for battlefield heroism — for action in Iraq, and the first leatherneck to earn it since 1970.
