Good day all...
I thought I would try here again. I was with 4th bat 13th Marines in an M109 battery at Los Flores/Camp Pendleton from March 1967 to December 1967. During my time with the battery we did a 20 day training exercise at 29 Palms and they had us back in staging battalion in early June to participate in the Israeli 6 day war...but...lucky for us it DID end in 6 days. Any one from that unit. I would love to have some pictures from that time and I am also quite happy to share any pictures I have...but I have none from that swath of time. Many thanks to anyone who read my inquiry. Semper Fi Brothers we This message has been edited. Last edited by: chulaivet1966, |

Close...just up the canyon from you guys. I was with C 1/11 11th Marinces at Las Pulgus from 74 to 78. Ours were towed 105 howitzers.
Post up some pics, I certainly would enjoy them! SEMPER FI The Gunny PROUD TO BE AN INFIDEL America is not at war. The Marines are at war, America is at the mall. |

Hey Marine....
I know I was at Las Pulgas too but I can't remember what training I was doing there. I pretty sure it was before I left for the Vietnam picnic. (Feb. 1966 on the Princeton) Maybe it was ITR or Artillery School for the 105mm Howitzers?..which would have been November/December '65...corrections welcomed? Ohhh mierda...I wish I had some pics of that time. After re-reading my post I see my phrasing was unintentionally misleading...don't hate me. I'm putting my Military Chronicles together as we speak and was hoping some Marines with more foresight than myself could bail me out and be generous with some pics from those times. If there are any from my era that are looking for some pics from me I'm happy to share. There is a website my commading officer has put up since we hooked up about 6 months ago that is a pictoral documentary of our time in Nam. I will post if requested provided it's within the rules of the forum. Sorry for the novelette so I guess this is just an overdue introduction. SFB we |
