Makes you wonder what makes people tick.I didn't know you could do harm with your finger by pointing it.

Ah, the power of a pointed finger. Totally off topic, but this reminds me of my dad being interviewed and photographed repeatedly with "the pointed finger pose". Only, he stopped a guy who was chasing a stranded female motorist on the freeway. He pointed his finger and threatened to blow this guy's head off (it was dark, just after sunset). Kept the guy detained until the police showed (turned out the guy had multiple rapes and assaults on his record. And not a small man, had my dad by 40 lbs or so). My dad was "Citizen of the Month" and nominated for "Man of the Year" (didn't win) for the town.
"There is no "overkill." There is only "Open fire" and "Time to reload.""

That news story kind of pissed me off. Sounded to me like some councilperson didn't like being held accountable for their actions and decided to press BS charges against that vet. I hope the judge throws it out of court, or better yet, presses punitive action against the person or persons who called the cops on this guy in the first place.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill
