This reminded me of I beleive Hill 889& 888 where a young LT USMC and his platoon fought all night to take a hill when they got to the top they called in Tank fire for the hill on their right the Tank used old fire support numbers and fired over the 888 hill and killed LT Carol and several men in his Platoon by friendly fire.
