The Department of Veterans Affairs, in cooperation with the State of California Employment Development Department and NASA is planning the Bay Area's first annual, "VA Welcome Home Event 2008". This is event is to welcome home local service members and veterans who have served in Iraq and/or Afghanistan and let them know about all the services and benefits available to them as they transition back to civilian life.
This special homecoming will take place on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 from 11:00 am to 4:00pm at Chase Park, which is located on historic Moffett Field, CA.
