Gday folks
Ive been considering the problem of defending a fixed position at all costs against a motivated and well equipped enemy. Even having the luxury of time to fortify fixed positions with trenches, overhead cover, gunnery mutual fire support etcetc, I dont see how survivability is a realistic option when you are faced with missiles and artillery? Considering how that missiles can be launched from unknown mobile locations considerable distance away.....Considering the range of artillery. Have I got it wrong? |

Do you think that people do not miss? It is all odds as far as accuracy is concerned. Also, not all weapons are always available.

Fixed Posistion?
Key word here is 'FIXED'..... Your is enemy mobile; knows where you are; asseses the situation; takes his time to gather intelligence; forces and munitions. Meanwhile; you are in your fotified fixed posistion feeling pretty smug. Your fixed posistion is nothing more than a magnet for a world of hurt. You don't know where; what; when or how. They do; and can addapt....they are mobile....you are NOT. I'm assuming that the combatents in this scenario are equal.... |
