any of you involved in infantry/Spec ops in Vietnam pre 66?
I am researching a Gas coleman Lantern as legend states was made for night spec ops missions in Vietnam. this lantern would have been used for night insertion and extraction emitting a redish Glow ( Possible Infared). this info thus far is de-classified. however due to the nature of it's use, it's existence is Denied by both coleman & the D.O.D. I have reports from some other vets I have talked to that recall seeing these in use on Border ops, early Lurp missions. but cannot remember much beyond that. they can't confirm its actual use and who used it. here's a link to what it looks like: Scroll 2 the bottom :http://terrence.marsh.faculty.noctrl.edu/lantern/colelant4660.html Any and All info would be appreciated, you can e-mail me directly. if any of you do have info hit me up I would appreciate it!
