Was wondering, I don't see any activity in the Coast Guard portion of the forum. Is there anyone here from the CG that could answer some questions?
Thanks |

Coastie's as a rule are a quiet bunch, even in a bar and vast quantities of alcohol being consumed, one practically has to trip over a Coastie to get a rise outta him.

I'd like to say that the Coast Guard did an outstanding job for the people of the United States during the recent Hurricanes.
Those folks make me proud. |

Know a few GS employees (former Marines) now working for USCG. Both in TX during the hurricane. Both had to evac out. No damage, no worries for them. They are not in the rescue side of things, but told me the stations they worked for activated everybody they could to get out there. Some confusion, helos everywhere (as I'm sure some have read about)- several all attemting to rescue the same people.
