My step-dad, MSgt Kevin Elgar, is in the USAF stationed at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. He also owns a Piper Cherokee (a small private plane.) Yesterday he never landed at his destination airport. New Mexico and Arizona police and air force rescue have been searching nearly non stop since about 3pm yesterday and we still have no updates. He is my father and has always been a great man to me and my family.
Please pray for us and our family that he was able to emergency land safely and he's just out of radio and cell phone range. Thank you! Mike |

I worked with MSgt Elgar from '93-'99 and found out Monday evening that the plane had in fact crashed with no survivors. He was a great man/father/and friend. My prayers are with his family.

Msgt Elgar was an excellent person, and a great boss. I've known him since Dec. 2002 and I will miss him deeply. Im so sorry for your loss, I cannot imagine what you're feeling right now. Stay strong and god bless you and your family. SrA Zuest 58MXS

We heard about your loss today and our thoughts and prayers are with you. We know your grandparents (Maureen and John) very well. I had the honor of meeting both you and your dad in Washington. My family is thinking of your family and please give your grandparents a hug from me.

Kevin was one of my favorite people when I was at Kirtland years ago. He's also one of the biggest reasons I'm still in the Air Force. My best to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear this bit of news. I will keep your family in my prayers. You will not be left alone in your time of need. I know this time will be difficult for you all, but I hope that you can find the blessings that life has given you and will continue to give you.
