quote: I went to F150.com (?), anyways, a Ford Truck site, got on the message boards there. They have about the same number of people registered as mil.com. However, the WORST it ever got was a little lethargic. I NEVER got posting errors. "We raise our glasses against the forces of evil" |

Now...
Just a few things. 1. Technically I WAS an MPS. That will never be repeated. I'm very surprised that the normal people with a nose for it did not spot me right off. I was relatively subtle, but left lots of clues. However, at NO time did I ever post as HAL AND TongoRad at same time. I was honest when I said HAL was not posting there anymore. This was technically true, if deceptive. If I had complained about the board errors as me, it would have been dismissed as just another cranky old member and water under the bridge. No drama. Loyalty is an important quality in life. I submit however that it works both ways. We are all 'customers'. If we are good customers then the provider of the product we use or the place we patronize owe US loyalty in return by keeping product within the realm of quality we should expect. Just because a place is 'free' is no excuse to accept a bad product. Nothing is truly 'free'. Boards generate traffic for a website and give sponsors an added incentive to advertise their products and services. Sometimes discussion boards are a first impression of a site. I don't have to go on about appearance and first impressions in the business world. 2. Just because I'm on the same site as some people who were MPS'ers and returned time and again to really mess with people doesn't mean I necessarily approve of what they did. I don't. However...knowing how I'm seen now, it hardly matters. 3. I will NOT go back and 'report any findings'. With this post and this topic, I'm dropping the issue of the 'other house'. Anyone can go back and forth and read. This site needs its own identity to survive. 4. I was a pretty benign 'troll' compared to most of the ones who agitated folks there again and again, including me. My demise WAS ironic in a sense. I also do not intend to be hunting people down here. They know who they are. I will simply ignore them and go about my business with those I wish to participate with. 5. I have to wonder which aspect of me was worse: Being an anklebiter and chasing people off of that place....or posing as someone else in troll fashion. I'm no better than anyone else...I am done mentioning Mil.com. This community needs to learn to stand on its own or risk becomming a 'me too' operation. Rant Off |

Good point Hal. it's one thing to bring up an issue and talk about it, or even make joking banter..it's another if that's all that is done. Time to start talking about some real issues, and time for me to just simply stop reading a thread if it bugs me.
I still can't get over that you were tongorad, lol! Thor is right and wrong about ajfa..he is a troll, but not one here..yet..but.. I don't approve of coming back over and over just to fug with someone either. |

I was never really out of line or impolite either. That was the secret.
There was no reason to get pissy at a new member like that. I never mentioned ANYONE by name to bring down the thunder like that. Yes I was sarcastic. But like EVERYONE ELSE, I have the right to be. |
