Does Obama even know about it yet? Whats going on here? Terrorists are being " sifted " out of GITMO while our best are being killed? We have renamed the war 20 times, we have changed the name of our enemies 30 times and yet Afghanistan is chuck full of >>>> ENEMIES <<<<. So if we catch these enemies do we send them to GITMO so Obama can set them free? Is that the freedom we are fighting for? Do they want freedom? We went there because of 9/11, now what are we doing? Obama brings up this " NATO " crap, yet we all know what comes with that ( 3 dudes from each country and 500,000 from America ). Instead of a " thank you " we get these firecrackers that can pop anywhere, even when you sleep.

Somehow I thought that this might be about ten soldiers who were killed and possible something about them. It is just one of your typical rants about Obama and has nothing to do with anything.

I can see where you're coming from and going to with this post and accept your right to spout off...BUT.. No one ever said it was going to be easy to haul a country from the 13th to the 21st century in a short bit and General McCrystal has laid out pretty bluntly and squarely what has to be done to , at least , get the thing going and on track..

that being said, I take personal offence at your diminishing the role of NATO and, in particular, Canada's troop contribution [ an ongoing average of 5000 personnel ' in theatre ' out of a standing army of 68,000 ] to the effort.

We've been there from the start, in the worst part of the territory and taken hits and KIA numbers in higher percentages than any other group/nation [ including, until recently, the USA ] as we've been hitting well above our weight class with concrete results.. My son-in-law just finished a rotation there and, despite the lefty-softy blahblah about the cost/worth of being there touted by those who think its a lost cause.. He,[ and my son, too,] is keen to go again, if allowed/tasked.

The Brits and Dutch have stepped forward and have suffered for it, as well..

Bash Obama all you want for his policies and politicing, but when you start to put down or deride the efforts of others who came forward to 'support' what America wanted in the first place..you start to bend a few noses and rub some sore spots - at your peril..

HarryP you know what I mean and how I go about things, so if you want to play " ALOOF " and pretend I'm using bad news to go after Obama then you are nuts. Somehow this post got out of hand I don't see anything wrong with the original post.The part about NATO Troops is true.Only three Countries allows Troop engagement with the Taliban.I didn't hear or see any mention of Canada or Canadian Troops.

Just starting out the post talking about the dead would have gone a long way towards ameliorating your rant phoon. If you expect us to guess what you are feeling, than look to God for that sort of thing. We are only humble human beings.
