Will I be able to post pictures ? If yes How ?I see noyhing as of this moment?

Spell check ,doesn't work with this setup

I am not an English Teacher ,would be nice to have spell check.

This site is okay ,however I feel some bells and whistles are missing?

Yes, you can upload pics. There are several already in the Roll Call section. Also, you can link to any image on the Net and have it appear in your message. I'll check on the spell check feature and let you know.

Uploading pictures is way easier here then at mil-dot. The little turquoise box at the top of each posting box where it goes, but it still requires a URL. The image upload works slick, I just uploaded over a dozen photos in just a few seconds straight from the computer . . . now gonna see if I can direct link them back to the photo album!!

Ok, not quite as easy as I thought. They all need to be under 30KB in size, which is OK, if you have a photo editor, which I do, but it will take more time then I have right now to do it. Still, I took the image, and linked here at the site via its URL to post it in the thread . . . that worked!!

TowGunner, when I was uploading it said I could only put one picture in the album, that must be the default. Any chance of getting that kicked up to at least a few more??

The forums are new, so we set the photo limit at one per user initially. Once we analyze our site traffic and bandwidth, we will be making adjustments on how many photos members can upload.

But here's another option. You can upload your military photos in our Photos section at:

http://www.militaryspot.com/gallery/index.php.

Bandwidth and storage is not as much of a problem on our MilitarySpot.com domain so members can upload up to 750,000 kb of images. You must sign up separately for this free service, but we hope to have a common log-in at some point. More information at:

http://www.militaryspot.com/aboutinfo.htm

Also, about the spell check. Infopop says that they do not currently have a spell check function for these new forums, but is exploring options. They said the company they contracted with is not doing it anymore.

As for bells and whistles, these forums are the next generation to the ones at Mil.com. But I'm curious. Do the older Mil.com Infopop forums have spell check?

That would be a negative. Another site where I have membership uses one called WYSIWYG Editor. It opens in a separate window, and has a custom dictionary that one can add words too, so it learns as it goes . . .

Infopop cited http://www.iespell.com/ as one example of a spell checker available on the Net.

GTG Jimmy, glad it works . . .

Good photo too, I thought this was the one you wanted to post, since it was in your email yesterday. I think it is awesome. When I get to work, I am gonna print me a copy to hang on the wall.
