any of you involved in infantry/Spec ops in Vietnam pre 66?
I am researching a Gas coleman Lantern as legend states was made for night spec ops missions in Vietnam. this lantern would have been used for
night insertion and extraction emitting a redish Glow ( Possible Infared).
this info thus far is de-classified. however due to the nature of it's use, it's existence is not recognized by both coleman or the D.O.D.

I have reports from some other vets I have talked to that recall seeing these in use on Border ops, early Lurp missions. but cannot remember much beyond that. they can't confirm its actual use and who used it.
